Fresh water clams are ideal for helping to keep the aquarium clean, constantly filter eating waste and impurities in the water and around the aquarium. We recommend housing 1 or 2 along with any fish and other aquatic creatures. Clams are copper intolerant, so should be removed if treating the aquarium with copper.
